SYNOPSIS: The Lowery's began their lives together in 1948. Over the next six decades they were not only a devoted couple, but also two of the most ardent proponents of equality and social justice for everyone. They displayed a legacy of friendship, love, and companionship. They marched, they demonstrated, they endured mistreatment, and they even went to jail to help make the world a better place. They worked with Martin Luther King for several years and were his friends.
